My goal is to break the cycle. "My oldest daughter, Aubrey, is 3 and I'm teaching her to speak her mind, don't be afraid of using her voice. I also teach teaching my youngest Avery the same thing. My plan is to teach my girls how to avoid situations that feel right. I have struggled with suicidal thoughts, and have acted on it when I was young. "I thank God every day that I survived and live to tell my story to all of you reading this. Mothers work tirelessly to give their children the best lives they deserve. They also tend to put themselves on the bottom of the list (if they even put themselves on the list at all). If you think you might be struggling with a mental illness (postpartum or not) seek help and get the care you definitely deserve. These struggles can be passed out to mom to child if not taken care of I know as a mom you don't want your children to suffer the same way you are.
