Youth Parenting

Young adult parenting/Teen parenting is hard. One of the hardest things a youth can go through. Most adults don't know what their doing after having children but as a youth it can be more difficult. As the world looks at you and thinks that you don't care or your burdening the people around you. I want to let you know that you can be just as a great mom and find balance. just like the older parents. you can balance work, school, being a parent, and home life.

Becoming a parent at a young age myself I fully understand how hard it is and feeling like you have to fight the way that society looks at you. I had my oldest daughter at 19 and my youngest at 22 still pretty young in my opinion. I was lucky to have a mother who was supportive with my kids my oldest especially. but my mother was much older when she had me and didn't understand my struggle completely and was sick so couldn't help me. my kids fathers aren't in the picture. I had to find a balance. I wanted to give my kids the best from the very beginning, I just didn't know at the time. The world saw a young girl irresponsibly girl who got pregnant. Also knew of other moms my age who didn't really care about being a parent and just wanted to have fun. that wasn't my life. i tell you all his because i want you to know that being a parent at young age doesn't have to mean that you don't want to be a great mother. i looked into every parenting resource i could find and there were not a lot in my area. so i went online and found out what I wanted to know. You can learn how to be "REAL" mom. You don't have to fit in the bubble people place you in. you can raise your children and actually raise them even though your young. being a parent isn't about your age it's about the love and effort you put in to your child/children. finding the right balance is key. finding the right job, the right (affordable) child care, and finding other moms in your community can help you be the best mom you can be. I created this website and my magazine for my kids and so all moms will know that they are enough no matter what your situation all parenting is hard work. What makes you a mother is how much you apply yourself to it.
